Tax Abatement Information

We've gotten a few calls from Martindale on the Monon residents about the tax abatement lately. It seems that a lot of your homes have recently been reassessed and your property taxes have increased. While many of you were simply paying property taxes on the land before and had not put your tax abatement to use, now that you're taxes are higher it is a good time to use the tax abatement.

To help you out Cindy has put together a tax abatement packet. You can download the packet on the Resident Information page of the Martindale on the Monon website. This packet provides sample forms that you will need as well as numbers to call if you have any other questions.

The Wiz

For anyone in the neighborhood looking for a fun Friday night, I would suggest going to the 1st Theatrical Production of the Project School, The Wiz. Join them Friday, June 12 @ 6pm, Oasis of Hope Baptist Church, 1701 E. 25th Street, admission is free, but donations will be accepted at the door. You won't want to miss students and staff in this wonderful production, being directed by our very own Yandes Street resident, Navonda Adams. I hope to see you there.
